Most of the time I have absolutely no money. But that’s no reason to be boring or unhappy. Quite the opposite in fact. Self-improvement almost always is free. Tree climbing exercises all parts of the body and improves the relationship between the mind and the body too. There is jeopardy and therefore the understanding of risk and adventure is improved.
Most of all, this is an excuse (should an excuse be needed) to get up close and personal with trees. Nothing gets you closer to these remarkable beings than tree climbing !
I owe a huge debt to those job it is (paid or otherwise) to preserve and care for the trees that grow near where we live - whether in town, the suburbs or in the far off places.
I had a chat with a volunteer who helps look after our trees in Reading. Have a listen in to what she had to say here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1yxYswuo1I
As soon as I can borrow or get hold of a 2nd hand GoPro or similar, I’ll take you up some trees with me.
